*A domestic first-year applicant is defined as a US Citizen or Permanent Resident. Applicants with DACA status should apply as a domestic student.

Principia College offers multiple application paths for domestic first- year applicants. We encourage you to apply early 和 receive an early response from us on admission 和 merit scholarship awards.

Plan ahead to have your application materials in before the deadline.

早期的决定   

If Principia is your first choice, consider applying 早期的决定. You can reduce the level of stress in selecting a 大学 by being among the first to receive an admissions decision 和 knowing months earlier than if you apply 常规的决定. 

应用ing 早期的决定 indicates a commitment to attend if admitted. 当被提前录取时, you agree to withdraw applications to any other 大学s, so it is expected you would not apply 早期的决定 to more than one institution.  

提早行动   

提早行动 applications will receive an earlier decision but may apply to other 大学s 和 can wait to hear from them before making a final decision. Principia offers two rounds of early application consideration. 

Complete your application by 12月2日 (早期行动I), 十大最大的网络彩票平台会在1月6日之前寄出录取决定. 应用 by the 1月6日 deadline (提早行动II) 和 receive an admission decision by 2月10日.  

常规的决定   

应用 by 3月3日 to receive an admission decision by 4月7日. 你方必须在5月1日前答复我方报盘.

Applications received after 3月3日 will be reviewed on a rolling basis. You'll typically receive an admission decision within 2-4 weeks after submitting a complete application. After 5月1日, you’ll need to reply to our offer within two weeks of being admitted.

  • Official transcripts can be submitted using an online platform. Our preferred delivery sources are Parchment, National Student 清晰的inghouse, Scoir or Encoura.  

• A final official transcript will be required prior to enrollment. Your guidance counselor can send an official copy of your transcript to the 招生 Office 大学.admissions@principia.edu. 如果电子提交是不可能的, official transcripts may be mailed directly from your high school to the Principia College 招生 Office at 梅贝克广场1号, Elsah, IL 62028.    
• All high school transcripts are evaluated to determine GPA scores which are used for admission 和 scholarship decisions.

Our holistic approach ensures that each student is seen as their unlimited self, 不仅仅是考试成绩. St和ardized test scores are not required for admission consideration, however they can be used to determine academic scholarships, often improving a student’s eligibility for a higher award level.    

Students wondering whether to submit a st和ardized test score or not, 应考虑以下几点:      

• If scores are an accurate representation of the student’s ability, feel free to submit them. 如果不是，就不要提交.      

• 如果学生得到了他们希望的分数, 和 especially if it qualifies the student for a higher level of academic scholarship, submitting the score may be helpful in the admission process.      

• SAT或ACT的高分可以抵消GPA的低. If a student does not submit a score, Principia has less information about academic performance. If a student has a low GPA but does well on the SAT or ACT, the test score can be an important indicator of the applicant’s potential to succeed in 大学-level classes.       

Applicants choosing to submit test scores should be aware that Principia requires a minimum score of 1010 on the SAT 和 a minimum composite score of 19 on the ACT. Principia will consider the applicant’s best superscored ACT composite scores 和 best superscored SAT math 和 evidence-based reading 和 writing (ERW) scores.

  • 在申请过程中, you will meet with a member of our 招生 Team as part of our holistic approach. Our staff will use this session to get to know you as a prospective student, provide you with important information about our campus community, 讨论奖学金的机会.  
  • This conversation will be an opportunity for you to share more about who you are 和 ask any questions you may have at that time.    
• 录取的决定 
  • We know that you’re eager to hear back about your admission decision. 一旦你的申请完成, your decision will be released by the appropriate date corresponding to the decision path you selected when submitting your application.
